These programs are designed for individuals and groups who wish a short-term experience in Canada to become better acquainted with its multi-national culture and improve their English language skills. Instruction takes place within the Canadian public education system.
Students enjoy the opportunity to experience Canadian education on a short-term basis and become integrated into the school district’s regular academic classes for a minimum of one session (4 weeks) to a maximum of two sessions (8 weeks). Each week they will be assessed to determine the amount of English they have acquired. Typically, these assessments are theme-based and may include topics such as Canada, Recreation and Leisure, Canadian Celebrations, etc. All students receive a certificate of participation at the end of their stay with us.
Delegation Exchange:
PIEA welcomes the opportunity to enrich cross-cultural educational understanding through delegation visits. Superintendents, Directors, Principals, Senior Administrators, as well as Ministry officials will be introduced to their Canadian counterparts. This will provide the opportunity to engage in round-table discussions to enhance understanding of the workings and objectives of one another’s educational systems. School visits to all levels of the public education system (elementary, middle, secondary) are included to support this understanding.
PIEA also supports reciprocal visits of Canadian delegations to Overseas Offices of Education and educational facilities.
